Computer Glitch in Kansas City?
Apparently not everything is up to date in Kansas City. Voting officials blamed a computer glitch for a voter-list mix-up early this morning. Polling places in one district received the wrong voter lists, according to the Kansas City Star.
“We did have issues in Ward 5 this morning,” the head of the local elections board told the paper. “The poll logs got intermingled.”
The correct books were delivered to the polls by about 8 a.m. But some voters reportedly left before voting.
Voter Kristin Gernon told the Star she couldn’t wait any longer and had to leave her polling place. Gernon was told by a polling official there that the problem affected about ten polling places. We’re putting in a call to see if the problem is indeed widespread.
