Does a Stimulus Lobbyist Work for You?
We've already discussed what stimulus lobbyists are lobbying about, but who are they lobbying for?
Many of them, it turns out, work for municipalities, counties and tribal governments. Does that include yours?
Here’s a list of all the filings we could find -- you can search for yourself. If your tax dollars are paying for a lobbyist, maybe you can make some requests of your own. A free ride from the Capitol to the Washington Monument anyone? Let us know what you find.

Going to Washington to advocate without a lobbyist is like going into court without a lawyer. You do so at your peril.
Great to list lobbyists and who they represent, and please avoid a tone of condescension toward people who, after all, operate within the spirit of the First Amendment and, for the most part, within the law.
In fact, lobbyists have a record for honesty and ethics at least as good as journalists, judges and physicians.
