Good Morning from VoteWatch
Election Day is upon us, and as we’ve been doing for the past week, we’ll be posting reports of voting troubles as they come in.
As you can see from a quick scan through the stories on VoteWatch, there have already been accusations of fraud and complaints of attempted vote suppression.
But as expected, the dominant issue of the day so far is the expected massive turnout (about 100 million expected today, on top of the 30 million early voters), creating long lines at polling places. Some experts worry that such a high turnout is bound to create disorder for a voting system that has proven a wee fragile in past elections.
We’ll be updating throughout the day as reports come in. Please let us know if you see a report we haven’t caught.
