Is Stimulus Funding Coming Soon to a Bridge or Road Near You?
If a road or bridge in your area will be modified or repaired using stimulus funds but was missing from our Adopt a Stimulus Project page last week, check again. We just updated the list with data provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Remember, our list tells you what funds have been sent to the states for approved projects. Lists on your state transportation department's Web site -- and many projects you've read about in your local newspaper -- also include projects proposed by local and state authorities but not yet approved by the federal Transportation Department.
Still don't see the project you want to track for ProPublica? Copy the information you find about it on your state transportation department's Web site and send it to me at amanda@propublica.org. We'll get you set up.
