Morning Cup of Stimulus: It’s Not Easy Being Green

benderbending/Flickr; Krista Kjellman/ProPublicaNew this morning: The stimulus took a "green" turn yesterday as the Energy Department released funding for local energy efficiency programs -- and as President Obama deflected a question about whether legalizing marijuana would stimulate the economy.

The government also announced that Arizona airports will receive $28 million for runway and security improvements and that the $250 payments for Social Security beneficiaries will go out in May. Alabama officials say the stimulus will help save 3,800 teaching jobs in their state. Meanwhile, a company claims to have created an iPhone app for stimulus information from various government Web sites.

Project of the day: A park over a freeway that will connect the downtown Dallas arts district to its thriving Uptown neighborhood.

Obama answered the ‘legalizing marijuana’ issue just after he lulled me to sleep with his excuses to remain on the well worn path of ‘insurance & lets raid the Medicare/Medicaid argument’......for both those issues: legalize marijuana..he flatly said ‘no’.  As for universal healthcoverage, he claims to support it…but..er, ummm… you know its just so unrealistic, or some such crap.
