New Scandal: Politicization of Federal Government
Every day we see new stories charging the Bush administration with injecting politics into governing.
For several months we’ve been tracking politicization at the Environmental Protection Agency, where embattled Administrator Stephen Johnson has been criticized for listening to White House policy instead of EPA staff scientists. And of course, we’ve also been tracking the rash of reports about the Bush administration’s inappropriate use of political considerations regarding DOJ personnel decisions.
We’ve decided it’s all part of a larger pattern. So we’ve added a scandal to our Scandal Watch: the Politicization of Federal Government.
