ProPublica Preview: Little-Used Airports Win Big Stimulus Money

June 29: This post has been updated.

The Federal Aviation Administration has allocated almost all of its $1 billion in stimulus funds to airport improvement projects across the country. In a preview of a report that is scheduled to air tonight on the CBS Evening News, ProPublica’s Michael Grabell and CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson explain the ins and outs of allocating stimulus funds for airports on public radio’s The Takeaway. Listen to their conversation with The Takeaway, and tune in to your local CBS affiliate later today to watch their report on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
