- The Washington Post details the dramatic saga of a “cursed” drug trial that was “silenced” in 1997 and is now being cited in lawsuits across the county. The study—which found a new antipsychotic drug failed to outperform an older one and raised concerns about side effects—was kept hush while the company, AstraZeneca, touted contradictory studies instead. AstraZeneca defended its research and said the company had disclosed the drug’s risks.
