Stimulus Spending hits $216 Billion
The federal government has paid out $216 billion, or 27 percent of the stimulus package, according to the latest numbers from Recovery.gov and the most recent available estimates (PDF) of tax cuts issued so far. The money includes $132 billion in spending and $84 billion in tax cuts. You can track the flow of money by agency on our Stimulus Progress Bar.
