It's been a great 2010 for ProPublica.
Our "Dollars for Docs" database revealed thousands of doctors across the country who received money from drug companies to push prescription drug sales. Our coverage of the BP Gulf oil spill led the way in showing how the company's lax safety culture was implicated in the disaster. Our investigation of police violence in New Orleans led to indictments, convictions and an overhaul of the police department. Our financial reporting demonstrated how Wall Street greed delayed the crash but then made it worse. These are just some of the many stories and projects undertaken by ProPublica's reporters this year, all of them aimed at having impact and spurring change.
