ProPublica is an independent, non-profit newsroom that produces investigative journalism in the public interest. We strive to foster change through exposing exploitation of the weak by the strong and the failures of those with power to vindicate the trust placed in them.
We wrote earlier today about the huge slab of National Security Agency documents that the Memory Hole posted on their site a couple days ago.
Memory Hole is still down, but we got our hands on one of their two big PDFs, so we’ve posted it here (PDF). It contains about half the 400 blank NSA forms, and includes the Freedom of Information request letter from Russ Kick, who runs the Memory Hole. Turns out that the NSA took more than five years to answer his request.
Thanks to the Memory Hole for doing this work. Hopefully, by posting it here (PDF), more people will be able to access the documents while their site recovers.
