Robin Fields Dialysis Reporting a Finalist for National Magazine Award

The American Society of Magazine Editors has named ProPublica’s Robin Fields and her piece, “God Help You. You’re on Dialysis,” a finalist for the 2011 National Magazine Award for Public Interest, which “honors magazine journalism that illuminates issues of local or national importance.”

The article, which was featured in The Atlantic in December, details the harrowing facts surrounding dialysis in the U.S. and suggests possible lessons for the future of health-care reform. The awards will be presented during a gala in New York on May 9. Congratulations Robin.
