Seems the blame should be on regulations & regulators.  We should question Salazar and demand to know what Cheney plotted behind closed doors with his fellow Oil Elites.  I have had allergic reactions to petroleum product vapors since 1992.  I’ve researched to defend against the cancers caused by petrol, plastics & petroleum based pharmaceuticals, pesticides & mineral deficient NPK fertilizers.  The only solution is to live defensively by supporting the DETOXIFICATION process through supplements and organic lifestyle.

BEWARE that Big Rx is trying to make physiological doses of supplements “only by prescription”, as they have done in Europe.  Folic acid, mandatory during pregnancy to protect the nervous system of the baby, is already limited.  It is the least expensive support for detoxification, depression, etc.

Big Food disables our bodies with cheap trans fats and supports disinformation about HEMP OIL, which is the most balanced Essential Fatty Acid source.  Tryptophan was banned for years when antidepressants came on the market.  Research the studies on Cannibis out of Israel & Canada.  Not for everyone, but medically valuable for many.  Cannibis is non toxic… does not kill.  The body has receptors for THC.  Alcohol is ok for those who can detoxify its poisons, but causes cancer, not cures cancer as hemp oil does.  Thanks to Big Booze we make Cannibis illegal and spend billions incarcerating non violent offenders while child molesters are released due to overcrowding.

We have to reevaluate all the Big $$$ corporations AND take their influence out of government.  Why do we reject European studies.  Ignorance and Greed are not good.  Neither is partisan prejudice.  Judging something before you have researched the facts is just plain stupid.

We need a good list of “alternative” news sources, as the previous writer suggested.  Assuming no political motivation, axe to grind products to endorse,  government control or direct or indirect financing-who do you suggest?  We all should be able to contribute at least one!  Not easy is it.

I lived in Texas City for far tooo long and even worked for Amoco Chemicals. That plant is just across a chain link fence from what at the time was Amoco Refinery. Both were bought out by BP.
The safety abuses at the chemical plant were enormous, including those commited by the workers. If this little happening in the gulf doesn’t make people realize that we can’t afford the petrochemical industry, what in god’s name will.
Melaine is right, we dont have the guts. Americans are sleepwalking and just too f——ing lazy to do anything hard. Sad

i live 20 minutes from the BP plant in Texas City—these slime balls don’t make safety job number two—that function is not on their to do list at all..and the people in Texas City—they ALL call the horrid odor everywhere ‘THE SMELL OF MONEY’ and they are right—slime ball psychopaths to a man—all they are about is power, frn’s, murder and mayhem—they buy off or kill off whoever they please and to date, joe worker has no power against them—ask anyone in Texas City—they will tell you—they work to live and they have to leave their conscience at the door of their plant—to keep their job—which is the EXACT same thing AS our senators and representatives do in Congress—they are all FRN whores—-and THEY HAVE NO CONSCIENCE—and believe me, i know how hard it is to maintain any conscience or sense of professional or personal ethics in this world—you become the target and the victim of ALL these ignorant scum in power—time after time—till you are dead.\\because love and decency does not seem to have much of any power in this 3-d world—

Would you be optimistic that a pack of hyenas would voluntarily regulate their behavior at the twitching corpse into which their bloody faces are sunk?
Would a mob of pigs abstain from the trough if there were still some juicy morsels left?
Would vultures back off from their carrion out of concern for the flies who aren’t getting their fair share?
There is no better evidence of our primal, basic, animal nature than the behavior of the Establishment mega-rich in the presence of more fodder for their insatiable appetites. There is no evidence that they are even capable of acting in a way that would differentiate them from the creatures with whom they share their niche. Except some feeble efforts at PR perhaps.
They hold the reigns of society, whether or not they sit in parliament, they ARE the government. They have ultimate control over the development of policy and they will vigorously resist any attempt to check their blood and spittle soaked feeding frenzy.
We, the people, are too willfully detached from the mechanisms of our democracy to wrench their bloody muzzles from the trough. As a result we are doomed to wallow in the shit they leave in their wake

Anyone living in the Texas City or Lamarque area that has suffered health problems from this needs to get in touch with an attorney named PINKERTON in Webster He is taking on BP over this issue.  BP needs to stop poisoning the citizens of our cities.  I would rather not have their tax dollars and have good health, but the powers that be would rather have their tax dollars and donations to every charity in town.

Pray for the people who make the decisions not to play Russian Roulette with our lives. Pray for clean air, water, and ask God to Bless our food.  Pray for our babies to be born healthy and our children to experience a lifetime free of pain, disease, cancer and toxic chemical created in the name of propersity,  free from their little bodies. Pray for those who are meek, mild, timid and simpl , PRAY for BP “think tanks” to develope a clean heart and quiet spirit, in Jesus name we ask our Father to grant us these prayer if it is his will.

mahalo marie for reminding us of spirit and love.  if we keep love in our hearts for god, mother earth and the creatures…. not be seduced by money & materialism….continue to seek and speak truth…. we will win in the end.  it’s until then that we have to fight the good fight and keep that attitude of gratitude.  thanks again for your inspiration.  peace & love
