Today (Friday), ProPublica’s Dr. Sheri Fink will participate in a panel discussion sponsored by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative titled "The Ethics of Triage in Disasters." The conversation will take place at Harvard University’s School of Public Health and will feature Dr. Paul Biddinger, Dr. Lachlan Forrow, Dr. Daniel Wickler and Dr. Jennifer Leaning, who will moderate the event. The discussion will begin at 3 p.m. Eastern and you can watch it online here.
Dr. Fink explored the topic in her highly acclaimed article "The Deadly Choices at Memorial," which appeared in the New York Times Magazine this past August, as well as in follow-up stories about states considering health rationing during a pandemic or other emergency situation.
