Albert "Jack" Stanley, who ran KBR when it was a subsidiary to Halliburton, arrived at the federal court in Houston, Texas, with his lawyers on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 to enter a guilty plea to charges that he resorted to bribes, kickbacks and high-level corruption to secure deals in Nigeria. His plea throws him into the center of a widening probe into the oil industry that has implications for corporations and governments across the globe.
