Read: BP's Plan For Controversial Arctic Drilling Project

Read BP's controversial plan to drill in the Arctic.

Earlier today, we wrote about an unprecedented drilling project by BP that--despite being miles off the coast of Alaska--is not subject to the administration's moratorium off-shore drilling. That's because it is built on an artificial island made of gravel. Getting to the 100-million-barrel oil reservoir will also involve drilling sideways for several miles.

We've loaded BP's Development and Production Plan into our document viewer, so you can read all about BP's Liberty project, its well design, and its 2005 conclusion about "ultra-extended-reach drilling" and how it has "significantly mitigated the potential offshore environmental impacts."
