Chisun Lee reports on law and justice. Her coverage of Guantanamo and terrorism-related detention problems won a 2010 Overseas Press Club Award for general excellence and was honored by the American Bar Association. She was a staff writer at the Village Voice for five years, where her reporting on civil liberties issues garnered a Crystal Gavel Award from the New York State Bar Association in 2003 and a 2004 New York Press Club award. A graduate of Harvard Law School and a former Knight Journalism Fellow at Yale Law School, Lee served as a law clerk for a federal district judge in New York. For a year she worked as a staff attorney at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law.
