Pressure Grows to Overturn VA Voter Registration Ban

Democrats in both the House and Senate have introduced legislation to force the Department of Veterans Affairs to overturn a ban on veteran voter registration drives at its facilities. Separately, Connecticut's secretary of state is still contemplating a lawsuit.

Bio

Matt Townsend worked as a news and sports reporter for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review before moving to New York City in 2003. As a student at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism (Dec. ’08 graduation), he has covered the 2008 campaign for The Huffington Post, freelanced for New York publications and interned at the New York Observer.
