Every day seems to bring yet more reports of banks under investigation for deals they did in the end days of the boom. With so many threads—reports of subpoenas, SEC investigations, crime probes, all with varying levels of detail and sourcing—it can all get a bit fuzzy.

Here’s our attempt to lay out exactly what’s known about which banks are being investigated by whom and for what.
