How the New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza Became a Mistaken Poster Boy for Obamacare

“It was the Twitter equivalent of blurbing a book using the one positive line from a review that actually trashed the book,” the Washington correspondent says.

illusive or elusive? at this point in time “What difference does it make?” I’m sure it was spelled illisive due to the fact it was a HEALTH care story.

Remember this is only the “rollout”, sign in period. This IS the easy part, wait until it comes time to make a claim, folks will be sayin’ “remember how easy it was to sign up?”

You did give up all of your personal information, for no “product”.

The White House is desperate. How pathetic.

Oct. 22, 2013, 12:55 p.m.

The reason that Obama claims that 19 million people have accessec the stie is probably becasue as soon as there is a hit it counts it. Every time someone gets in, but then gets an error and kicked off, they go back.  This probably happens many times per idiot user adding up the hits.  The real question is how many were able to completely sign up using the website.  Very few, I bet.  You cannot trust any statistic that Obama or anyone in his administration spews on any subject.  Its all BS that is never sourced so that it can be checked, and the Obama sheeples believe every word.  Stupid is as stupid does, or believes, in this case..

This whole health care thing is a ruse. The main intent behind national healthcare, is to centralize every individuals personal information in once huge, centralized data base, something they couldn’t even accomplish through years of the census. Anybody that signs up for this ‘mark of the beast’ program is an absolute fool. Look how the government targets people through the NSA, the IRS, the Justice department, etc. etc. Do you really think you will ever be free again once you are part of this demonic monster?

Oct. 22, 2013, 1:18 p.m.

Just like when Nancy Pelosi proclaimed “you have to pass it (Obamacare) before we can know what’s in it”.  Now it is “you have to set up the account but can’t get service once in it” syndrome.

Can you imagine that these doofuses eventually want a single payer system? That’s really going to work out well if that ever happens. If you hate the DMV, that’s going seem like a party compared to this fiasco.

Other than the HMOs offered, there are no doctors signed or listed for any of the health plans offered under the ACA.

There is no reason to think that ACA failure will lead to single payer.  Failure will not be rewarded unless the Dems gain control of the House in November 2014.

The new health plan is very simple:  They pretend to give us health care and we pretend to be healthy.

The Obama White House has a long history of mendacity.  Why would you expect statements regarding Obamacare to be any different?

It took almost a year of testing to get our state’s Medicaid to handle ANSI 837 files. The Obamacare exchange had only a couple of weeks of partial testing before they went “live”. In other words it was obvious to anyone working to interface to the exchange that it would never work. Obama/Sibelius waited 3.5 years before even asking, “How’s it going?” Obama is incompetent as is everyone in his administration, apparently. US has jumped the shark under Obama and the Dems (and the rinos, too).

Oct. 22, 2013, 2:04 p.m.

I feel I have just gotten my tickets to Let’s Make a Deal and “Obama (3 card “Monte”) wants me to sign up for what is behind a curtain. Does this mean we will have to enroll in order to find out what is in Obamacare? (paraphrasing Nancy Pelosi).

On the Blue Cross Blue Shield site it has 4 options ranging from low premiums and High OOP to High premiums and low OOP expense.

The middle class is screwed!

Here’s hoping the next Administration gets rid of this unlawful “law” from which the “lawmakers” went and “exempted” themselves…
[By “illusive,” did/do you mean elusive…?]

This is so embarrassing…I’m embarrassed for my country and peers who voted for this joke.

Real ACA success stories are ranking between leprechaun gold and unicorn tears in believability.

Both Ornstein and Lizza have shown how unprofessional and ignorant they are. You DON’T tweet or write anything positive until you go through the entire process and confirm its successful finish.
Seems like both were in a hurry to make Obama look good and it backfired.

Oct. 22, 2013, 2:42 p.m.

And maybe, just maybe, you guys shouldn’t have tweeted publically until the entire process had theoretically completed, either successfully or not so much.

blindly misleading the public since 2006…

Anything, anything at all to attempt to make themselves look good, stretching the truth or outright lies seems to me well within their purview.

“The moral of the story: Be careful with your first tweet. Even if you later amend it, it could take on a life of its own.”

I’m sorry. But shouldn’t the “moral of the story” be that Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster so far?

Oh, by the way, my sister and husband just found out that under the ACA, their premium will more than triple and that their doctors won’t sign up to be part of any network.

The political elite cannot be threatened unless the media is a beacon of truth. When are you going to stand up against corrupt news outlets? It is clear that political bias and incompetence are merely symptoms of a deeper illness…

As usual all the really critical comments have been removed. Typical of the obamcare situation. The programming is not the problem. The news media and their flunkies are the real problem. If bush had wanted to hide the numbers the communist need only apply media mafia would have been outraged.

How about “GET A LIFE” and try to live a few minutes without having to “TWEET” everything that happens to you….?

Oct. 23, 2013, 12:25 a.m.

Why can’t I have the same health plan that congress has?  Why can’t I have the same plan that Obumer and wife has?  Why can’t I opt out like companies, or the Unions. Why should I as a man have to have insurance that covers female problems, such as abortions?  Why Why Why?  Why do I have to worry that when I reach a certain age, IBAP will be the one to decide if I can get a medical procedure, or not, or if I will be forced to take a poison pill?  Again, Why Why Why?

Oct. 23, 2013, 11:50 a.m.

People who already have health care coverage should stop trying to create an account, they are just adding stress to the system,  Very annoying.

Doesn’t it seem strange that Obama will fire a staffer for tweeting his opinions about senior Admin officials (including POTUS), but tolerate Sebelius’ abysmal failure as HHS in this farce. She is still in the spin room telling of visits to the website and trying to avoid getting tied down to facts by Sanjay Gupta, et al. Reports were that they rolled this thing out without a Beta, and it shows. What would she have to do to be held accountable?  He has already assigned someone else to clean up her mess. Kathleen, “you are not in Kansas any more.”
