The White House’s “Buy American” mandate on stimulus projects may soon make an exception for our neighbors to the north, CBC News reports. In return for allowing Canadian companies to bid on U.S. projects, American companies would be able to snag contracts in Canada, according to CBC’s sources in the Canadian government. After weeks of tension, peace would return to the northern border.

A lawyer in Oklahoma City is suing the state, claiming it is improperly spending its share of the stimulus package. The Associated Press reports that the attorney, Jerry Fent, has accused the state of failing to certify the money through a state board.

Bill Clinton’s getting a slice of stimulus pie, reports The Wall Street Journal. After seven years of stalled progress due to rising bills and a failed attempt by the Arkansas Legislature to secure funds, a bridge to Clinton’s presidential center in Little Rock will receive $2.5 million for repairs.
