ProPublica’s T. Christian Miller Talks About Injured War Contractors
Recently, ProPublica partnered with ABC News and the Los Angeles Times on a story about the difficulties that injured war zone contractors face in getting insurance companies to pay off their medical claims. The reporting teams explained the role these people played in assisting the war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and how they have had to fight AIG and other insurance companies to get basic medical care, artificial limbs and psychological counseling. ProPublica senior reporter T. Christian Miller was recently a guest on “Democracy Now!” and Fox Business Channel’s “Happy Hour” to talk about how this problem developed and what could happen next.
