How to Join Our Wall Street Money Machine Conversation

On Tuesday, former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer will sit down with ProPublica’s Jesse Eisinger and Jake Bernstein to discuss some of the causes of the financial crisis and what can be done to prevent future problems. The event will take place on October 11 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern at the Tenement Museum in New York City (108 Orchard Street).

If you would like to attend, please RSVP here. For readers who are not able to join us in person, you can watch it live on the video player below or on the Tenement Talks channel on UStream. Just click on the link at 6:30 p.m. Eastern and you’ll be able to join the event as it’s happening. And if you can’t watch it live, we’ll keep the video on our site so that you can watch it later.

If you would like to ask our panel a question, tweet it with the hashtag #PTTalks or email it to [email protected] and we’ll do our best to respond.

Be sure to brush up on our Wall Street Money Machine series before the conversation. The series won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting, and it was the first to win the award without ever appearing in print.

This will be the first of a monthly series of ProPublica Investigate This/Tenement Talk conversations. They will happen the second Tuesday of every month and the next one (November 8) will feature Tracy Weber and Charles Ornstein talking with Dr. Marcia Angell, the former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, about their Dollars for Docs project.
