Progressive New York One of Last States in the Country to Have No Early Voting

New York may one of the most reliably blue states in the U.S., but it's got one of the lowest voter turnout rates. One reason? It's one of about 20 states that has no early voting at all. It doesn't even have no-excuse absentee voting. Despite efforts by advocacy groups and state lawmakers, at least 10 bills related to early voting have stalled in the legislature since last year. WNYC reporter Karen Rouse explores why.
