Treatment Tracker App Wins Data Journalism Award

The Global Editors Network announced today that ProPublica’s Treatment Tracker had won a 2015 Data Journalism Award in the open data category.

Treatment Tracker, a news application using data from Medicare's Part B program, allows patients to see how often their doctors billed for the most expensive, most intensive types of office visits and how that that compared to other providers in their specialty and state.
