As the talent acquisition manager at ProPublica, I lead strategic recruitment efforts that fuel our impactful accountability journalism. I partner with leadership to define and address our organization’s talent needs, ensuring we attract exceptional individuals ready to drive our work forward. My role extends beyond filling positions — I ensure we are staffed to adapt and thrive through each new era of reporting, meeting unique challenges along the way. From start to finish, I manage the recruitment process to attract a diverse range of candidates while fostering a fair, inclusive and efficient experience.
My Background
I’ve hired across six continents in editorial, legal, finance, HR, technology, administration, security, development and marketing/sales. My experience spans both agency and in-house roles, as well as nonprofit and for-profit organizations, giving me the flexibility to design strategic, tailored hiring solutions. Before joining ProPublica, I led recruitment for staff and newsroom roles at The Washington Post and Axios. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in political science and certifications in diversity, equity and inclusion and project management.
