Patchwork Nation is a reporting project by PBS NewsHour and the Christian Science Monitor that divides America's 3,141 counties into 12 community types based on certain demographic characteristics, such as income level, racial composition, employment and religion. They've added our Transportation Stimulus Contract Data to their tools to let readers explore the data along in concert their other data sets.
