Re-introducing ProPublica’s iOS App

Meet the new ProPublica for iOS, completely rebuilt from the ground up.

Today we’re excited to launch the latest version of ProPublica for iOS. The new app is one of the best ways to keep up on ProPublica’s journalism wherever you are.

We’ve rebuilt it from the ground up, featuring an all-new, streamlined design that puts our latest work front and center. It automatically updates in the background with the latest stories, so everything is always up to date.

A smart offline mode connects you to the live version of our big feature articles when you’ve got an internet connection, and a simplified text-only version when you don’t. And we’ve built the app so it looks great on iPhones and iPads no matter how you hold them.

You can opt into push notifications for our major investigations, as well as for our weekly MuckReads roundups — and the latter gets a great mobile-optimized presentation that keeps you up to date on the best investigative journalism from around the web. Support for the standard system-level sharing tools and resizable text are now built in, too.

This version takes some of the best ideas from modern app design and combines them with our own take on what makes for a great mobile news experience.
