Ariel Wittenberg was an intern at ProPublica. She has previously worked for the Center for Public Integrity, where she covered the nation's foreclosure crisis. A graduate of Brandeis University, she was editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper, where her projects ranged from covering the university budget to writing a four-part series on the intersections of race at the university. She has also written for the Waltham News Tribune and the Metro West Daily News.
