Breaking the Silence: Stopping Sexual Assault in Alaska

A lack of public safety resources, historical trauma and generations of broken government promises have created a sexual assault and child-abuse crisis in Alaska. With both urban and rural communities facing continuous cycles of abuse, how can we better protect women, men and children?

Please join the Anchorage Daily News, Maniilaq and ProPublica for a community forum on stopping sexual violence and child abuse. Hear from community leaders, public officials and journalists about this problem and ways to end it through public education, survivor support and policy. Refreshments will be served.
