Local Live(s): A Storytelling Event About Chain Reactions

A night of live storytelling and entertainment, bringing together investigative reporters and community members.

In partnership with Back Pocket Media.

Join us for Local Live(s), a night of live storytelling and entertainment bringing together investigative reporters and community members.

ProPublica journalists who cover the Midwest will share the stories behind their published stories — and how the personal and professional intersect. Think of it as a live podcast all about reporting in the region we love.

The theme of our show is “Chain Reaction: Stories About Decisions That Lead to Surprising Outcomes and Unplanned Futures.”

The event will also feature live music from Julius Tucker and storytelling from stand-up comedian Chris Trani.

ProPublica reporters:

  • Anna Clark
  • Haru Coryne
  • Jessica Lussenhop
  • Steve Mills

All patrons are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination for entry. Patrons must also wear a mask at all times inside when not actively taking sips of their drinks. Purchase tickets here.

Back Pocket Media's Local Live(s) is sponsored by the Meta Journalism Project.
