Join an active dialogue on how video gambling is affecting the city of Rockford and the people who live there. This is an event facilitated by ProPublica Illinois and Free Street Theater.

The state has approved a gambling expansion that will bring a casino to Rockford and expand video gambling, though local politicians are split on the issue. ProPublica Illinois wants to know whether you think gambling has paid off in Rockford. What changes have you seen in Rockford since video gambling came to town? How is your community being impacted? We want to hear from you.

This dialogue is a part of an initiative between Free Street Theater, ProPublica Illinois and the Illinois Humanities Council to encourage conversations among people with different perspectives in ways that are fun, honest and informative. The event is free and open to the public; all ages are welcome and no experience is required. We encourage people with varying perspectives to attend.
