Sarah Childress is a senior editor at ProPublica. Previously, she was the deputy editor for long-term investigations at The Washington Post, where she edited multiplatform series including the Peabody-nominated podcast “The Empty Grave of Comrade Bishop” and “Broken Doors,” which was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize. Previously, she worked on award-winning documentaries, podcasts and digital projects as the series senior editor at PBS’ “Frontline.” She co-produced the documentary “Flint’s Deadly Water,” which was nominated for an Emmy and a Peabody Award and recognized by the Scripps Howard Awards with a Jack R. Howard Award for Broadcast. She has also worked as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal and Newsweek. She teaches investigative journalism at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
