On Anniversary of Katrina, CNN Looks at Post-Storm Violence

Tonight CNN’s Anderson Cooper will examine the vigilante violence that followed Hurricane Katrina and the current federal probe into alleged hate crimes against African Americans. It's a story ProPublica reporter A.C. Thompson helped break in The Nation magazine -- with support from The Nation Institute and other nonprofit journalism organizations -- and is continuing to explore. CNN spoke to Thompson about the attacks, as well as people on both sides of the gunfire. Anderson Cooper 360° airs at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. EST.
