Photo of the Day: Oil Spill's Effects Cast a Wide Net

Today's image shows the inside of Chine's Cajun Net Shop, where owner Lawrence 'Chine' Terrebonne has been making fishing nets for 61 years. As a result of the Gulf oil spill, the orders for those nets have dropped off. Terrebonne told AFP last month that he is mostly worried about his workers and himself as well as others whose livelihoods are so closely tied to the fishing in Louisiana. "It feels terrible. You work all your life for something and then at 70 you might have to start over," he said.
