Scripps Howard Journalism Awards, Three Finalists

Three ProPublica projects are finalists for the 72nd Scripps Howard Journalism Awards.

“Maylia and Jack: A Story of Teens and Fentanyl” is a finalist for Excellence in Narrative Human-Interest Storytelling, honoring Ernie Pyle.

“Life of the Mother“ is a finalist for the Ursula and Gilbert Farfel Prize, which honors excellence in national/international investigative reporting.

“The Year After a Denied Abortion” was named a finalist for Excellence in Visual Human-Interest Storytelling.
