ProPublica received four recognitions in the Society of Environmental Journalists Awards for Reporting on the Environment.

“Toxic Gaslighting: How 3M Executives Convinced a Scientist the Forever Chemicals She Found in Human Blood Were Safe” won first place in the outstanding feature story, large category, and is now a finalist for the Pulliam Award for Outstanding Environmental Reporting.

“Selling a Mirage: The Delusion of ‘Advanced’ Plastic Recycling” received first honorable mention in the outstanding explanatory reporting, large category.

“Charting Changes Inside the EPA in the Second Trump Administration” received second honorable mention in the outstanding beat reporting, large category.

“Unplugged: Will Taxpayers Foot the Oil Industry’s Cleanup Bill?” reported in collaboration with Capital & Main and Gray Television/InvestigateTV, received first honorable mention in the Kevin Carmody Award for outstanding investigative reporting, large category.
