What I Cover
I build news applications to help readers understand and personalize large and complex datasets.
My Background
Before joining ProPublica, I was a senior data visuals developer at The Texas Tribune. My work there included a tool to see how a new map changed congressional districts in Texas, an investigation into the billionaires funding Gov. Greg Abbott’s political career, a look at housing affordability in the state and numerous voter guides and election results pages.
Before that, I was a data and interactive visuals journalist at NJ.com and The Star-Ledger, where I helped build an award-winning database of police use of force.
I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
