What I Cover
I report on how the United States federal government works and the impact of its policies on real people by using data and code.
My Background
Before joining ProPublica, I served as a senior data scientist at the New York attorney general’s office, where I investigated the pharmaceutical industry, firearms manufacturers, law enforcement misconduct and more. Before that, I researched the social epidemiology of street drug use and fentanyl at Johns Hopkins, where I received my master’s degree, and I studied the anthropology of science at Brown.
