My Background
I’ve spent the past decade helping nonprofit newsrooms sustainably grow by creating useful, informative products for both readers and my colleagues.
Before coming to ProPublica, I worked at similar local organizations including The Texas Tribune, Scalawag Magazine and Chalkbeat. I’ve also done event programming for SXSW and other organizations.
Originally from North Carolina, I’m now based in Austin, Texas, where I spend some of my free time as a bookseller and book club host at BookPeople, Texas’ largest indie bookstore.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with B.A.s in multimedia journalism and political science.
