Tina Griego is a senior editor for the Local Reporting Network’s sustainability desk. which supports the work of former partner newsrooms and reporters. Before joining ProPublica, she was a co-founder and the managing editor of the Colorado News Collaborative (COLab), a coalition of 180 local news outlets that partners on journalism in the state. Her previous work as a reporter and editor focused on education, mental health, urban poverty and immigration and has been recognized by the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism’s Tobenkin Memorial Award among other national awards.
