Hannah Birch is ProPublica’s lead producer. She manages story production, editorial projects and documentation. Previously, she was an associate news producer at The Seattle Times and in 2015 won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news with Seattle Times staff.

Hannah was formerly a copy-editing intern for The Seattle Times and Stephens Media Group in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hannah also worked as an intern at Channel Signal, a social media monitoring company in Park City, Utah. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a degree in journalism and media studies.
