Matt Townsend was an intern at ProPublica. Previously, he worked as a news and sports reporter for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review before moving to New York City in 2003. As a student at the City University of New Yorkâs Graduate School of Journalism (Dec. â08 graduation), he has covered the 2008 campaign for The Huffington Post, freelanced for New York publications and interned at the New York Observer.
